From an individual's stand point, to a complete array, or disarray, of Social Issues, Political Chaos and Mad Power Struggles, Economical Disaster, Ecological Catastrophe... Etc, etc, etc...
Restoration is about bringing Balance, Harmony and Order to where it once existed before...
Starting from the beginning and not wishing to engage in any futile religious debate, I believe that Everyone, including those that choose to not entertain the idea of a "Creator", would agree that we are All Creation; for the lack of a better word... This includes All Human Beings, All Animals, Plants, Minerals, the Soil from where we grow our food, the Water that is Essential to our survival, the Air that we breathe... etc...
We are Creation and we are interdependent of one another in a Symbiotic and Interactive Existence.
We, The Terrestrial Human-Being, are or were made Custodians of the Entire Creation, for the simple fact that we "Developed" or were "Given" an Intellect and Consciousness... but not only an ability to reason and/or distinguish between right and wrong, unlike any other part of this "Creation", but also an unparalleled ability to Create with extreme detail, to Imagine and Do amazing things... therefore we also developed theories along the line of our "perceived evolution" connecting us to our "supposed ancestors" the Homo-Habilis and the Homo-Sapiens...
Well... We decided to Create two opposing views of this "Creation"...
The "Evolutionary Perception" or understanding, which implies that we were "Created" Imperfect and Clumsy, and that we have been "Refining" and "Perfecting" ourselves ever since...
and... The "Creator's Perception" or belief, where we were "Created" at the image of a "Creator", therefore as Perfect as we could possibly have been Created, and obviously we have been "Involving" or "Degenerating" ever since...
Regardless of which "Perception" we choose, the fact of the matter is that we encounter ourselves at this very stage that we are now... with amazing advances in technology and certain types of Human development as we have never seen before, at least as far as we can remember, but also and simultaneously with incredible loss in Human Values and Dignity, not to mention Ecological, Environmental and even Human Degradation with all types of problems of war, economics, drugs, terrorism... etc, etc, etc...
If we were to start a Restoration Process in order to "Evolve" into the next stage of Human Evolution, where would we start? and what would be our initial steps and strategies to push us to the next level?
The first step must surely be to redefine success. Currently success is measured by worldly possession and money. This definition allows only a few to be successful whilst the masses wallow unsuccessfully in poverty. When nobody goes to bed hungry and everybody has decent accommodation we can claim real success, and have a firm foundation from which to grow.
ReplyDeleteThe concept of "Success" comes along only because we were conditioned to believe, (and by saying this I mean that we Mutually Agree in the general sense), in the concept of "Competition".
ReplyDeleteWe Mutually choose to accept that the Human-Being is by nature a Competitive Creature... But Is this really the True nature of the Human-Being? Or is this a "Manufactured" concept?
Have we Not, for thousands of years, Survived, Lived and Built Communities on the basis of Co-Operation rather than Competition?
So? From this perspective, have we really achieved this so called "Success"? I really do not think so... The Current status of Human "Evolution" is a total Failure, Humanly speaking, Socially, Economically, Politically, Ecologically... etc...

Currently we have a handful of individuals benefiting from extreme wealth, while the majority of Human-Beings on this planet are barely, if, making ends meet...
Yes, I Totally agree with you Bernard, we really need to redefine the the concept of "Success" but not only we need to look "outside the box", but also to put our minds together and Redefine, and Redesign the entire concept of "Social Structure". As long as "The Powers That Be" (PTB), Keep Profit above Human Need, we will not see any Radical Change in the World... They are preventing and stalling the Natural Evolution of our own Species!
